Select Cleaners charge a slightly higher hourly rate for one off work, simply because it’s usually harder and therefore this needs to be reflected in the price, further details on our Prices page by clicking HERE
There’s a minimum requirement of 3 hours and the introduced cleaner usually uses your equipment such as your hoover and cleaning materials in order to keep the overall expenses to a minimum, because as intimated elsewhere on this site, if a company brings its own cleaning implements and materials, someone is going to have to pay for them – and that ‘someone’ will always be the customer – to our mind, it doesn’t make sense to charge the client extra for supplying materials that they probably already have available.
One off cleans should not be booked via our on-line booking facility, only via direct contact with ourselves, e.g., telephone or email.
Once you’ve made contact with us, we’ll find out a little more about what’s involved based on the answers you give us to certain questions, occasionally, especially in the case of moving out cleans where there is no furniture and there’s more or less an empty house to clean, we can sometimes agree the amount of time based on experience, in all other cases, we’ll organise a suitable Select Cleaner who will make contact to view the property (if felt necessary) and finalise the amount of time required.
At the point you give us the go-ahead to organise the clean, we’ll take a £15 arrangement fee over the phone following which the Select Cleaner will then be paid at the rate of £10 per hour on the day she completes the work, or any other arrangement you care to make between you and her.
They’ll be in contact with you as soon as possible in order to arrange a viewing of the house and agree a start date, however if the house is empty of furniture, or just has a minimal amount, you may be able to simply agree a start date over the phone, as well as how they’ll gain access and be paid. Please note: The hourly rates shown below in the ONE OFF cleaning column INCLUDE the £15 arrangement fee AND the £10 per hour cleaner’s rate.
The 8 hour rate (used purely as an example) is calculated as follows:
1: £15 arrangement fee + £72 cleaner’s payment (8 hours x £10 ph) totals £95
2: Divide £95 by 8 hours equals £11.88 ph as shown in the table below.
